BSAFE initiatives

BSafe Initiatives

BSafe is a proactive and ongoing campaign and new initiatives will be launched throughout. The initiatives will be targeted at seafarers and focus on at least one of the core topics of the Bsafe campaign. The key aim with all the initiatives is to provide support to seafarers and assist them in managing what at times, can be difficult situations particularly given the demands and pressures under which seafarers operate today.

SAILORS’ SOCIETY – WELLNESS AT SEA CAMPAIGN

The most important element of the Wellness at Sea Campaign is to let seafarers know that they are not alone, with the emphasis on where they can seek help if needed. We shall be rolling out this campaign over the course of the year with a new module being introduced every month. Each module will include a variety of materials to provide support to seafarers including podcasts, videos and posters.

As part of BSafe, we are supporting the Sailors’ Society’s Wellness at Sea campaign. This was developed in response to the COVID-19 crisis and aims to increase awareness of mental health and wellbeing issues, motivate crews and provide practical support to help seafarers through challenging times.
